Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Tomorrow's Tycoon ("the game") is designed to minimize data collection. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
1. Data stored on your device
Your game progress and settings are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not automatically sent to us.
2. Anonymous player ID
To support leaderboards and optional cloud saves, the game generates a random anonymous ID on your device. This ID does not identify you personally.
3. Leaderboards and cloud saves (optional)
If a leaderboard or cloud-save backend is enabled, we store your anonymous ID, a display name, and your game score/progress. This data is used only to provide those features.
4. Bug reports and error logs
If you choose to submit a bug report, we receive your description along with your app version, device/browser information, and recent error details to help diagnose the issue.
5. In-app purchases
The game offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details — card numbers, billing address and the payment itself are handled entirely by Google Play, and that information is never sent to us.
When you make a purchase, our server receives and stores:
- a one-way hash of the Google Play purchase token, plus its first 8 characters, used to confirm the purchase with Google and to make sure a purchase is only ever granted once;
- the Google Play order ID;
- the product purchased and what it granted;
- your anonymous player ID, so the purchase can be restored if you reinstall the game or change device;
- the date and time of the purchase.
We do not store the full purchase token. We use this data only to deliver what you bought, to restore it on a new install, and to handle refunds and support requests. Purchase records are kept for as long as your entitlement lasts and as long as tax and accounting rules require.
To verify a purchase we send the purchase token and product ID to the Google Play Developer API. When a purchase is made, Google Play also receives an obfuscated (hashed) form of your anonymous player ID so the purchase can be linked back to your game progress.
6. Notifications
You may optionally enable notifications. You can disable them at any time in your device settings.
7. Advertising
The Android app offers optional video ads. You choose to watch one in return for an in-game reward, such as double income or free gems; no ad plays unless you ask for one. The ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, Google collects information from your device, including its advertising ID, IP address (from which an approximate location can be worked out), device and app details, and how you interact with the ad. Google uses it to show and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, where you have agreed, to personalise ads. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent with Google’s consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your device’s advertising ID in its settings. With the Ad-Free purchase, no ads are shown.
We never receive your advertising ID, and we do not give advertisers any of your game data.
8. Third-party services
We do not sell your data. Apart from Google AdMob (section 7), the game contains no advertising or tracking SDK. We use Google Play for app distribution and for processing in-app purchases; Google’s handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We may also use the fonts and hosting services needed to run the game.
